God continues to amaze me. I have always wanted to attend a big educational conference and be a presenter or speaker as well as be part of a webinar. For now, I would just settle for attending a conference, networking with other professionals, learning, and taking it all in. Little did I know that moment would come sooner than later. A year after my article got published in the KDP magazine, I got an email inviting me to be a speaker at their annual educator’s conference! Mind you, this was a year later, so that was the last thing on my mind and furthermore, I thought it would be a few years and articles later before I reach that point, but God works in mysterious ways! This is just another example of how God can blow your mind and give you more than you can ever ask or think. Not only would I be ‘going’ to the event, but I was personally invited to be a speaker. Because of the pandemic, the event would be virtual. Conference speakers are usually who I aspire to be, so much so that I didn’t even think I was in the place to be one yet! This showed me that although, I am still on a journey of learning and growing, I am already enough, and I have to continue to believe in yourself. I hope this is an encouragement to those who are reading this. Take a chance on yourself and JUST DO IT! You never know how impactful it is. It does not have to be the best, but it is still unique and significant. I often look at experiences through the lens that even if it does not work out, at least I know I tried, I did not doubt myself or back down, I had FAITH; and as Christians who proclaim faith, shouldn’t that be how we live our life?
